Aurelia, or Lia for short, and Aaron contacted me in May about shooting their wedding. We had a phone consultation, because Aaron lives in DC, while they were on there way to visit their venue and all three of us were sold on me being their wedding photographer! I was so happy! & when I met them for their ENGAGEMENT SESSION I fell even more in love with them! Their love just radiates from each other & we captured some many beautiful photos! They are both U of M fans and so naturally thats where their session took place!
It feels like just the other day I was meeting them in person for the first time! Up until their wedding date Lia was such a supporter of the photos I took of them and I loved see ALL the photos and the hashtags of #PrepareForTishkoff up till September 2, 2018. She was so excited to be Aaron’s wife and even as I type that now I get the chills. That is what I love about my brides. They love their wedding and they want pretty details…but the marriage and love they get to share with the person they picked is what matters most.
I was born ready for their wedding! No rain, sunshine, or timeline hiccups could slow me down! I loved coming early to the venue to find pretty spots for portraits and meeting some of Lia’s and Aaron’s family. At the end of the night, I always feel like I’m somehow apart of it because of the relationships everyone forms throughout!
They didn’t do a first look, which I always respect about my clients, BUT they did a prayer together staying hidden behind a column upstairs. I always get chills right at the end of the ceremony when they announce my couples are husband and wife but I had never felt anything like this as I heard they pray for each other. Aaron went first and Lia went after. Their words were filled with such love and grace, and the look on Lia’s face as she held Aaron’s hand was priceless. She loves him so much, words don’t even need to express it. It also took Aaron a second to let go of her hand to say goodbye because soon they would walk down the aisle. It was the sweetest and most memorable thing so far in my career.
First off Lia looked gorgeous and her girls were amazing! They help her with anything she needed and didn’t look mad about it at all! And let me tell you them and the whole bridal party, including mom, knew how to put on a show! Mom’s toast was last and there was a surprise choreographed dance at the end of it! The whole bridal party got out of their seats and joined her on the dance floor, it was so fun!
THEN, after first dances happened, her brother Charlie comes and RAPS lyrics he made up for Lia and Aaron! When I tell you the whole bridal party plus some were on this dance floor with him rapping its the truth! I had a family session with Lia, Charlie and their mom prior to the wedding and I had NO IDEA that this kid could do this. It was such a fun night!
Lia and Aaron, you both looked amazing and I’m so happy for you both. Thank you for not only being the embodiment of a great relationship and now marriage but huge supporters of me! I love when I can create relationships with my couples that will last even past their wedding day! All of those amazing people you call family and friends just spoke amazing words about you both all night and again I was so honored I was able to be there! I wish you both all the luck in the world down in DC, Virginia, or wherever life may take you one day! Cheers, love, & happiness to the new Mr. & Mrs. Tishkoff!!
A HUGE thank you to the team who put this together! As well as all the family members who helped set everything up!
