Believe it or not, Burgandie and Evan were my first couple that I have booked for a wedding EVER! I immediately fell in love with them when I met them at Starbucks for our first meeting. Burgandie told me all about the small little details that were going to be a part of their wedding and she had everything SO organized which I LOVED! It’s the little things.
I fell even more in love with them as a couple and as people when I shot their engagement session. Click HERE to see how amazing that was! It took place in Northville where they started their little family. The Historical Society was beautiful and went amazing with the outfits she chose! I couldn’t believe how incredibly sweet they were. And little did I know, I would learn how amazing they actually are! I also got the honor of capturing some photos of their sweet little Anayhia for her 2nd birthday. It was beautiful and such a dream. I loved getting to meet her before their wedding day.
We were so worried about rain and storms the day of their wedding, but somehow it didn’t rain anywhere we were shooting AND the sun came out! I was so happy they did a first look. We were able to speed up the timeline, get them some extra photos that I LOVE, and they got to share a moment together to commemorate their grandmas who had passed away way too soon. I will only share a couple photos below from that moment because it was so personal to them. There was nothing more raw and real than that moment during the whole day. I cried with them as they sent their letters into the air that they wrote for their two family members. I feel its something they will never forget and I will never forget it either.
Their ceremony was beautiful. Burgandie’s sister officiated in front of a beautiful red bridge, in front of a few close and special family members and friends. It was beautiful. They thanked each and every person during the ceremony who are important in their lives. And their vows gave me all the happy chills. I could see it in their eyes how much they love each other, how much they have been through together, and their words were so special.
Burgandie and Evan, where to even start? You both have become more than just a MCL Bridal Couple, you have become my friends. In less than a year I have gotten to know you, your family, and see your hearts in everything you do! I was so honored to be there on your wedding day. It was beautiful. Everything about it was full of love, happy tears, sad tears, friends, and family. I can see how much you all love each other and Im so thankful I was brought your way. I cant wait to continue to see your family grow and become so much more full! Thanks for being so kind, caring, and handling everything with grace. I will be forever using my new favorite customized Marena Disney mug from one of my favorite couples!
A big thank you to all the people who helped make this day happen, you all worked so incredibly hard for this couple and it shows! Check out my favorites of the new Mr. + Mrs. Shelest Wedding Day!
